What's Going Down

No restraint.

I can't help myself. Lately, I've been a sewing maniac. Besides the dresses I made last week, I helped a friend make pellows (intentional misspelling) for her house on Thursday. Then today, on a whim, I whipped another dress out, following this awesome tutorial.

Free tutorials on the internet? Pretty much my favorite thing ever. Got one? Send it over! I love making stuff!

That is fantastic!! I'm gonna go tomorrow to the Rescue Mission and see what I can find to make a couple of these. The only think to improve it is a tie for the back. Guess you would need an extra large for that. You are fantastic- maybe I will leave my sewing machine to you when I die- we'll see.

Okay, that is the cutest thing I have seen in awhile. I am not a great seamstress, but this motivates me to clean up my sewing room and give it a try. What size of shirt did you use?

So cute! I've been looking for a shirt I like to do one for my daughter. May I ask what size shirt you used, and what size (ish) dress you got out of it? Thanks!

i used a size Small Men's Structure shirt. I estimate the size of the dress to be 5? Abbie is about 42 inches tall and I wanted the length to hit her about mid calf. Abbie's chest circumference is about 21 inches. She's tiny.

So freaking cute. I've been wanting to do that tutorial all week. Just need my boys to be more into cross dressing. As for ties, I bet if you used a long sleeved shirt, you could totally make a little tie if wated (to Ruth Solter) Good job, Alissa. Very, very cute.
