Overheard.

Things to note: My children are sick. Goopy runny noses and coughing. Delightful.

Today all the kids (minus Lucas) were playing downstairs and Matt and I were gleefully ignoring them. All of a sudden they all start crying.

Anna: Mom! He bit me!!
Miles: But I was hungry!!
Abbie: Where did he bite you?
Anna: Right here, where you can see snot.

Matt and I did not intervene. Instead we had a good giggle. And then begged the children to clean up the horrific mess they had made.
