Back in May, my husband and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. Being that it was in the middle of the school year and we had a barely 2 month old, we elected to put off true celebration until this summer.
We decided to take a trip without 4/5 of our children. We left them with my sister Rebekah, who is living at my parents' house while her husband is deployed with the Air Force. Fortunately for Bekah, my brother Adam and his wife, Mika are staying with my parents for a little while and they were able to help out with the herd.
So, Matt, Libby and I headed to NYC. Now, keep in mind that I have never been and am truly not a fan of cities.
I loved it.
The first day we were there:
We figured out the Subway system and headed directly to Chinatown. Matt had been researching and planning this for literally a month. We ate at Joe's Shanghai. Joe's is famous for their Xiao Long Bao. They were delicious. We actually ended up eating there twice in the 3 days we spent in NYC.
From there we walked up to SoHo. Purl SoHo to be specific. Oh friends! Pure heaven, right here.
After blowing my budget on yarn and fabric... we were off.
SoHo was a really cool place. Great shopping. Very cool storefronts.
And I had my very best friend with me. What more could I ask for, really?

I have never been to NYC. Other than the airport anyway. I so want to go. Maybe that should be D and my next trip?
NYC sounds so fun!
SOOOO jealous that you got to go to Purl Soho... green with envy! But happy for you at the same time!
