Recently Anna (8) told Matt, "I hope I marry a husband like you." When pressed for what exactly she meant, she explained that she hopes her husband is goofy and funny and makes her laugh, just like her daddy.
Be still my freaking beating heart. That is the reason I married this man. It's what keeps me madly in love with him. He makes me laugh. And the kids too, apparently. He is constantly ribbing them; giving them a hard time. The works.
Which is why it comes as no surprise to me that he continues to enjoy the same "childish" things he always has. Like Calvin & Hobbes. Recently, I emerged from alone time in my bedroom to discover this:
What can I say? We've bred a gaggle of nerds. We're pretty proud.

That is pretty dang adorable! Good capture with that camera too :)
My kids also love reading Calvin and Hobbes- but I won't read it to them (much too hard to read something that isn't just a story, right?) so Daddy has to read it to them.
That picture is so awesome! It needs to be framed on the wall. What a sweet hubby you have!
Wow! This picture makes it look like you have a whole lotta kids! (;
We are mega Calvin and Hobbes fans around here. We have something like 8 of his books. Sometimes a promise to Jacob that he can read it out loud on the way to church is the only thing that will get him in the van.
Oops - Jacob is actually Cheri.
Love this photo. :)
