I'm not sure where or when I heard about this idea that when a women gives birth to her husband's child, she is entitled to a "Push Present." Some people find it appalling. I find it to be a good reason to get something new.
When Lucas was born, I got this chair:
(Lucas at 10 weeks old).
I still love that chair.
When Libby was born, I requested a Cricut (but please don't buy it from that link). I also requested this program. It allows you to cut any .ttf font including dingbats. It makes cartridges a think of the past (in my opinion).
Combine that with some freezer paper and you can stencil just about ANYTHING you want.
Which is why I made this onesie for a friend expecting her first girl:
The possibilities here are endless. What about some of these awesome fonts? I'm so stoked.

that chair is pretty awesome! I love, love, love my cricut. I want to buy one of the contra-band cricut programs cause the cartridges are so expensive. I love your onesie, cute!
I have freezer paper on my blog today and scheduled for tomorrow, too. I"m a woman obsessed for sure. Also? My Cricut is still in the box. Maybe this week.
So what your sayin is Dad owes me 0 BIG presents- do you want to tell him for me?
oopps that should read 9 presents :)
being a new cricut user/pwner-i hadnt even thought of freezer paper! i have used it to make stencils in the past! thank you!
Hmm…. liking the idea of a 'push' present, if we ever have another. :)
I tried the freezer paper thing this week and am obsessed! Ewan asked for a dragon, which I was wishing I had some sort of die cutting machine as I painstakingly cut the dragon and fire with scissors.
Love the idea of that program for the cricut so you don't have to use cartridges. Thanks!
Okay, that onesie is TO CUTE! I am going to post it on my blog.
And I have wanted a cricut for a LONG time but know I wouldn't do it justice. But all these posts make me want to change my mind!!
Just wanted to let you know that I dig ya. I found you through I'm not sure where but I've made your bread lots and lots and told all sorts of people about it cause I think you're genius. Last night I made half a batch with some cheddar cheese and chives, divided between 12 muffin cups, baked them up and served them with some homemade potato and chicken soup. Yum. Thank you! Oh, and I'm a knitter too, have twin baby girls and I spell my name with an "i" also!

I love your new header. Quite funny. And that's one of my favorite pics of your family - I guess minus a face on one! How's it going with the five?
